Timeline of the Poke'mon Planet
Few people know
this, but, the secret to Nintendo's game-producing success is two things-a
space warp, and a time machine. They take events from the Poke'mon
Planet and turn them into video games, as well as make a TV Show of Ash's
adventures. The space warp lets the programmers travel to the Poke'mon Planet (where they have a studio in
However, the Poke'mon
adventures did happen in a certain order and in a certain way, and knowing this
order will help you better understand some of the
events that take place here.
Poke'mon Red/Blue,
Of all the games on the list, the
placement of this game is probably debated the least. Red was the first Poke'mon Trainer ever to become a Poke'mon
Master (he went through his Poke'mon Training even
before Ash did) so it would take a lot of explaining before this adventure
could be anywhere but first on this list. The three original legendary birds
were already created, and were being trained in various areas around Kanto.
Team Rocket, too, had just finished banding together, and decided to try to
take over Kanto. Red was able to outwit their plans during his training,
however, and defeated his rival, Gary in the Champion battle at Poke'mon League. After Giovanni's defeat in Viridian Gym,
Team Rocket resorted to the
TV Show, Season 1
Seeing Red's match against Agatha at Poke'mon League on TV
(Red's Nidorino VS Agatha's
Gengar), a young boy by the name of Ash decided that
he wanted to be a Poke'mon Trainer, just like Red. He
started with Pikachu, who refused to stay in a Poke'ball and instead followed Ash all the time. Just like
Red, Ash ended up getting all the Poke'mon Badges of
Kanto, but was joined on his adventures by the first two Gym Leaders (Brock and
Misty). This is how I know that Ash took his training after Red did, as Brock
and Misty remained in their Gyms after Red trounced them. Ash ended up losing,
however, at Poke'mon League to Richie,
a former friend of Ash, because his Charizard refused
to obey him. Upset, Ash decided to seek further Training elsewhere.
Poke'mon: The First Movie
Following Poke'mon
Red/Blue, Mewtwo needed some time to rest, and, er, create some more legendary Poke'mon,
but he was soon ready to go. Embittered by his defeat in the Unknown Dungeon by
Red, he decided to use a slightly more strategic plan for taking over the Poke'mon world. By creating genetically enhanced cloned Poke'mon to do his bidding, he thought that they would be
strong enough to kill all of the real Poke'mon (as
well as all of their Trainers), which would leave the world to them. He very
nearly succeeded, I will even say, he WOULD have succeeded if it had not been
for the Poke'mon Mewtwo was
cloned from, Mew. Unfortunately for Mewtwo, Mew, as
well as Ash and some other Trainers, showed up at just the wrong time. Ash
ended up getting killed in a massive Poke'mon fight
by a psychic blast, but was revived by Poke'mon
tears. Mewtwo then decided to move his army out while
the going was good, erasing the minds of all the trainers involved in the
fight. He could have used Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres to help him
defeat Mew, but for some odd reason, he wasn't yet willing to give the three
legendary birds another chance. As for the two other legendary birds and the
three legendary dogs, they were still too weak. They were hidden in the darkest
corner of Mewtwo's Cave, gaining strength.
Important Note: The first few
scenes of the movie show how Mewtwo was created by scientists
and how it rebelled Giovanni. However, this does not nessecarily contradict my placement of these adventures.
These few scenes were added into the movie to show how Mewtwo
was created in the first place, and they almost certainly happened before Red
even conquered Kanto. However, it wasn't until the appearance of Ash in this
movie (which is where it jumps ahead in time to after Season 1) that Mewtwo started creating cloned Poke'mon.

Clearly Ash, Misty, and Brock
were deserving of some rest and relaxation after their Kanto adventure, so they

RE League - Land Across the Sea
This is probably the most difficult adventure to place on the timeline, largely because many Poke'mon fans believe that this adventure did not actually happen at all. However, Reality's End is a mysterious land not very different from Asia (a lot like a "Sub-con" on Poke'mon Planet, for those of you who are also Mario fans), and it is a real place. The easiest way to get there here on Poke'mon Planet is by playing computer games, or on occasion, playing board games such as Monopoly, but it is possible, though difficult, to get there by warp as well. That's how challengers of my BigBang Gym get there. The RE League is a mysterious league that Trainers who are outsiders can join and become Gym Leaders in. To do this, they must defeat the Gym Leader of the Maelstrom Gym, Kero Kato. My BigBang Badge belongs to this league, and I have earned many badges here.
Poke'mon Trading Card Game
This adventure is so little-known
that I can't say much about it, but I do know that there is a land where
Trainers duel each other with cards. The clubs there are basically the same as
Gyms. Jay (the main character) and Ronald went on a quest to obtain the
legendary Poke'mon cards. They went up against the
Grand Masters, and Jay won, getting the legendary cards. The reason I'm putting
this adventure here is because only the first three sets of cards are in the
game.

attacked a new section of the Poke'mon World-Johto! Even though they were forced to disband long ago, it
seemed they were back. Mewtwo immediately sent his

Lugia and Ho-oh also came, but Articuno,

had undergone major adventures since they were involved in Poke'mon

Shortly after Gold rose to the
top as a Poke'mon Trainer, Ash, Misty, and Brock
decided to check out Johto for themselves. They
earned the Johto Badges during their quests and had
numerous adventures, including some that involved the legendary Poke'mon. Afterwards, Misty decided to leave the group, and
return to her sisters at the Cerulean Gym, leaving Brock and Ash alone.
Poke'mon 3: The Movie and Poke'mon 4Ever shortly follow Seasons 3 and 4 of the TV Show, respectively. Poke'mon Heroes happens just before Misty leaves the group in Season 5.
Poke'mon Colosseum
This is one of the most difficult
games to place on the timeline, particularly because many Poke'mon
fans believe that this adventure did not actually happen at all. However, Orre, the desert where this adventure takes place, is far
away from Johto, Kanto, or even Hoenn,
but it is a real place. Determined to conquer SOME land, Mewtwo
and legendary dogs, as well as Ho-oh and Lugia,
resorted to this desert, completely ditching Articuno,
Zapdos, and Moltres once
again. He believed that Ash, Misty, and Brock would have no interest in this
supposedly unimportant world, but unfortunately, when he got there he realized
immediately things weren't going to go his way. An evil Team Rocket-type gang,
known as Team Cipher, had been stealing Pokemon and
turning them into evil "Shadow" Poke'mon.
To make matters worse, Mewtwo's three legendary dogs
were all captured and temporarily turned into Shadow Poke'mon.
Fortunately, a former member of Team Snagem named
Wes, who rescued a girl named Rui, had a Snag Machine
that allowed him to snag Shadow Poke'mon. He ended up
snagging the legendary dogs, and returned them to their nice state by opening
the doors to their hearts. The reason this adventure comes before Ruby/Sapphire
is because this desert is where the Ruby/Sapphire Poke'mon
were first discovered (they were later discovered in Hoenn
as well). After Wes and Rui had all three legendary
dogs purified, they went up against Evice, the head
of Team Cipher and fake mayor of
Poke’mon XD: Gale of Darkness
Even though their former head was
defeated, Team Cipher did not give up. They instead captured the legendary birds
except for Ho-oh, and turned them into Shadow Poke’mon!
The biggest threat was Lugia, who, once Shadow Poke’mon-ified, had a strong desire to destroy things and Poke’mon. Wes came to the rescue again. He snagged
different Shadow Poke’mon to help him this time, and snagged
and purified the legendary birds and Lugia. He also
defeated Cipher’s new head. Team Cipher was badly beaten this time and will
likely never return…at least for a long time anyway.
Poke'mon Ruby/Sapphire
Way off in a farway
island known as Hoenn, two young trainers by the name
of May and Sean were starting their training. Although Team Rocket had no
interest in this land, May and Sean ended up running into two
new, equally evil gangs-Team Aqua and Team Magma. There were two
legendary Poke'mon (these had not been created by Mewtwo) that they wanted. Team Magma wanted Groudon, and Team Aqua wanted Kyogre.
Team Magma chose to strike first. Sean cornered them in their hideout, then in
the undersea cave, where Groudon awoke and caused a
major climate catastrophe. After settling Groudon,
Sean went on to collect the rest of the Badges and then became champion of the Hoenn Poke'mon League. Shortly
afterwards, May decided to collect more badges, while meanwhile Team Aqua
became evil and tried to capture Kyogre. May ended up
becoming involved in an adventure that was remarkably similar to Sean's
adventure with Team Magma and Groudon. Although May
did get all eight badges, she did not become champion of the league. Sorry,
girls. She later joined Ash and Brock when they came to Hoenn.

RE League - Legend of the Gilded Jewel
20 years after the original RE League began life as a Poke'mon League, a giant Moon Stone (known ironically as the Moon Stone) impacted Poke'mon Planet. In a fiery armageddon, it destroyed almost all life and matter within a 5000 mile radius, meaning most of Reality's End and parts of the other regions as well. Out of those that survived, there were fewer Trainers and Gym Leaders. Oddly enough, shortly after the Moon Stone struck, GSC Poke'mon had been discovered in the region. A few new Gyms were built, too. Those that had existed in the past had to be rebuilt. But other than that, the RE League is still functioning mostly the same way as 20 years before. The legendary dogs and birds fought some battles in this ruined land as well. The reason this comes so late in the adventure timeline is because by the time it starts (20 years into the future), Ash, Misty, and Brock had all grown up.

Left off the timeline
Ahem. A few games have not been placed on the timeline. I will now explain why.
Poke'mon Yellow, Poke'mon Crystal, Poke'mon Emerald, Poke'mon Fire Red/Leaf Green
A person reading this timeline
might wonder, "Why did Red go through his Poke'mon
training three times, (almost) the exact same way each time?" The answer
is, he didn't. People like this clearly believe
that Poke'mon Red/Blue, Poke'mon
Yellow, and Poke'mon Fire Red/Leaf Green are
unrelated games, wheras in reality they are simply
remakes. In other words, they are the same adventure portrayed slightly
differently. For example, Poke'mon Yellow is edited
to look more like Ash's quest from the TV Show, while Fire Red/Leaf Green is

Poke'mon Box
Since this game is not really its own adventure (more like an extension of the storage system), and just allows Ruby/Sapphire to be played on a TV, it does not deserve its own spot on this time.
Hey, you! Pikachu!
I do not know enough about this little-known microphone game to add it to the timeline. The same goes for any Japanese releases that I might not have heard of.
Poke'mon Channel
I have not yet played this TV-based Poke'mon adventure. I've also heard that the story is pretty minimalist, so...I will need to find out more before I decide whether or not to add this to the Poke'mon Universe timeline.
